MOT – Class 4, 5 & 7 – Stanton-by-Dale, near Ilkeston

TRS Vehicle Centre is one of the very few MOT test centres in Derbyshire that has the space and facilities to test larger vehicles like minibuses, as well as cars and vans up to 3.5t.

A valid MOT test certificate becomes a legal requirement to drive on UK roads once a vehicle is three years old. This certificate must be renewed annually, and the annual test must be carried out by a garage authorised to do so by the Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency. At TRS Vehicle Centre, we are able to carry out Class 4, 5 and 7 MOT tests.

• Exhaust system
• Mirrors
• Seatbelts
• Windscreen wipers

If your vehicle should fail its MOT test, our team have all the specialist tools and equipment needed to correct or fix what caused the failure and carry out a retest. We also provide an advisory service, alerting you to things that may need to be looked at before the next test in 12 months’ time. Your test can be carried out up to one month before the expiry date.

What class MOT do I need?

Class 4 – this is suitable for most cars and smaller vans, including some motorhomes.

Class 5 – this is for private passenger vehicles and ambulances (13-16 seats).

Class 7 – designed for commercial vehicles up to 3.5t, a Class 7 MOT test checks components that typically experience greater stress in their working life.
